My Grandfather Joseph Rudd was born on 09/06/1896 at 46 Belle Green Lane. The area as changed over the years, i wonder if one of the houses in the photo could be his place of birth.?

I think that is Ashurt's/Cain's pie shop on the right, James , with the sign over the door and the lady with the pram just walking away from it, and that was at number 10, Belle Green Lane. I actually know someone who lives at number 48, which would have been next door to your grandfather and it is further up Belle Green Lane, (you can just make out a row of houses behind the lady's right hand), and it is still standing, but
the houses and shops nearest to the camera are long gone.

Yes Ashurst's/Cain's pies and cakes shop behind the lady pushing the pram.
Across the road, just behind the parked car the little toffee shop we used to call it, located where the players number 6 sign on the wall and far left at the end of the buildings the Engineers Arms pub, all long gone but great memories.

Nice to see you back on Wigan World, Garry! The little toffee shop was Boardman's. Their daughter Pamela went to Ince Central School when I did but might have been a year or so older than me. Her name was pronounced "Pam-ella" rather than the usual "Pamela".
