I was in Platt Bridge Paul's shop the other day, and we were talking about John, when the phone rang and it was John.
John asked Paul to get me to write down my telephone number, but I refused, saying if I did that, he might phone me up.
Paul thought that was very funny.

I’ve been up to Mick’s at Bromley Cross on a number of occasions but there’s never anyone at home .

I’m beginning to suspect that they may have taken to ducking down behind the settee when they see me approaching .
