Hi Brian, I know a couple of lads who origanted
From Bryn with the name Boon, Ian &a Stan I wonder if there could be some relation to the good lady on the pic.

Sorry Dave I have no idea of Mrs Boons family but seem to remember she lived on land gate estate

Everything about this nostalgic photo to me, is reminiscent of the early 1950’s.

Just how I remember the dinner ladies ( not dinner bags!) true ladies in every sense of the word. My favourite lived next door to us and always gave second helpings!

Mrs. Boon had a daughter Ann and a son John.

I remember Mrs Boon.

Her husband died in a road accident.

She lived on Wigan Road.

Also had a son called Granville, he would be about three or four years younger than John. He will be getting on for 70 now.
