What would the tops glass of the petrol pumps be worth these days???
Ron. Did this company at one time have a showroom on the other side of Mesnes Street, towards Bridgeman Terrace?. They sold top of the range motor cars. I recollect admiring the cars, when I was on the park beat.
My dad bought anew viva from here 010171, KEK 519J £932!
What happed to the Povy family. Because they were part of the PLP motors of warrington.
Hi Ron only just seen this 1950 photo of Mabs Cross Motors staff which has my dad on it, Vince Clayton who is 4th from left on back row the tall guy I didn’t think there was so many staff Worked at this garage.
Thanks for showing this photo it was nice to see my old man who would be 101 years old now if he was still alive
Hello Eddie. I was apprentice to your dad Vince in the 1960s. I learned a lot from him, he was a great guy and have fond memories of working with him. I remember George the painter, Vernon the Auto Electrician, Bernard Foye, Johnny, Norman, who were mechanics and Roy and Dave who was an apprentice like me. Mabs Cross was a Vauxhall/Bedford Dealer at that time
Hi guys. Did any of you remember a James (maybe Jim) Edward Kneale ?
