Chris,it is probably earlier than you think otherwise Ken Brown and Joe Speakman would be in it.
Older relatives of mine put this in the 1930's.I have three photos of Roby Mill St.Teresa's to publish in the near future. An opinion from one village contact suggests the goalkeeper might be Benny Latham.
Judging from the Laithwaite Shield finalists picture I think Tom Lathom is number 3 from left on the back row with Norman Speakman 2nd from left.
I have extra info now on this photo. The photo is probably 1936 - 1938, ie just before the war. The tall man far left is a Walter ?, Tom Latham is 2nd from left in the "team" back row, Harold Latham is 2nd from right on "team" back row, and Ernie Latham to Harold's left. The man far right on the photo is thought to be a McNamara.
Additional information: Back row second from the left is Jimmy Turner not Norman Speakman. The gentleman on the far right back row is Jack Latham.........Francis Turner's father I'm told .
