A Beautiful relaxing day from Wigan Park.

Another pleasant scene Mick, a seat to sit on & watch the world go by.
I knew Wigan back in the late 1940's and it was always know as Mesnes Park then.

Lovely blaze of colour..
Just what is needed after the bleak and damp Spring.

If you get dressed and get yourself down the the park this morning you will find the flowers are fully in bloom now

Just noticed that the lady on the bench is not watching the world go by....she is nattering on her mobile phone !

Mobile phones are now a way of life but I do not like having to listen to other folks conversations every where you go.

Was in Park yesterday disapointing the flower beds are empty and the Pullman waterfall (end of duck pond) isnt working

You can't get away from other people's conversations any more - wherever you are.

maybe the contractors who now supply and plant out the bedding plants could be having staffing problems like all the horticultural businesses are, or perhaps sourcing enough ready to plant out bedding with the frosts we had of late, but whatever I'm sure the flower beds in all the parks will soon be full of plants and blossoming and appealing to both our eyes and senses before too long.

That person to the right of the couple is sprawled out in a sand pit, or what's known in the park as a foxes littering area, or words to that effect, they'll realise what they've been lying in when people begin to avoid them.

Reason why there's not as many plants is because we have had to much dry weather, you cant plant new ones in dry soil.

You can if watered after they've been planted. We all do it that way.

Yes you’re right Alan… I water mine at night when the weather is hot. You see some plants outside supermarkets dying in the trays! I never buy mine from them.
