Used to go in this pub for ETU union meetings.
Went in on a weekday once, there were some characters to say the least
Me and my wife to be were in the D & P when we heard of John F Kennedy's assassination November 1963.
i went to etu meetings there, the union man was ken jackson, now Sir ken who became a close friend of Tony Bliar

Why are people surprised that Politicians lie? All of them lie, in fact lying is what Politics is all about.
Politics and Police are the two most corrupt organizations in this country. Both of these organizations are prepared to use violence against their own people in order to get what THEY want.
Just do your own thing and ignore the garbage that they spew out endlessly.
Only render unto the Government and the Police the things that are theirs....and do your best to get back by other means whatever they take from you. That way lies peace and contentment.
I wonder if we’ll get to share the same cell when GCHQ finally get their hands on us DTease ? … I bags the top bunk .
