I do love Shevington, there is such a lot of greenery around the center, you've got the memorial park, the recreation ground, and the war memorial surrounded by ancient trees.

Mick have you moved back or is it that you are full of regret

He never went Freddie, the good folks ‘ daen saarf’ heard he was coming and put up road blocks.
The Parish Council in Shangri-La Shevvy were caught napping and he sneaked back in when they weren’t looking.

Remember using the Parish Rooms as a class room, 1957/58. It was used as an overflow for the Primary school in miles lane, standard five and the teacher was Mr Twist. Happy memories

Parish rooms was also used for the Cubs and Scouts, Dances, Weddings, Funerals. Jumble sales, Whist drives.

Yes Mick that is correct, that was my dad. Also in the scout group from Randal Ave we’re my brother Malcolm and Billy Dawber. Great times.

Most church halls/vestries in the UK are used, and always have been used, for similar events.
