Cool, green & shady as the song by John Denver. Delightful scene Dennis.

Couldn't go to a nicer place, mind you there must be many people with the same idea..

What a lovely photo. I love the dappled sunlight which reminds me so much of riding through the shady plantations on the "tractor" to Haigh Hall. How exciting it was to a child on a Sunday afternoon in the late 1950s/early 1960s. A Timeless scene.

Like the different shades of green in this one Dennis ,with the sun breaking through the trees.
Think where very lucky here in Aspull, to such beautiful countryside on our doorstep.
Good photo. D.

Ive bumped into Owd Ron many a time coming up that slope on his scooter

This is the tree with the Corvid 19 black ribbon shaped branches

Comment by: Veronica on 30th May 2020 at 13:35

It would be nice to think that Ron is still wandering around in spirit along these paths, with no need for his 'scooter' ..

I can almost hear the birds singing.

Beautiful photo ! I agree David,Aspull is lovely and loads of good walks nearby.

And just a short drive away David, we have the wild, windswept moorland around Rivington and Belmont where you can get away from the “Madding Crowd”. Best visited in the Winter when nature has the place to herself.
