Wigan council have done a very good job of keeping the car park litter free

What an uplifting photo to see first thing in the morning.

Well composed, Aubrey.

Beautiful blossom, I like the white best.
Anjou Boulevard ? Not a very local name for a town in the NW of the UK ?!

What a very pretty sight..don't they look gorgeous,a picture to cheer the heart.
Thank you Aubrey.

There isn't a more heartening sight after Winter. Beautiful photo. My granddaughter, when she was in the reception class at school, once informed me that you could tell it was Spring because there was "blosmus" on the trees! She is now 13 and says "blossom" but her granddad and I still call it "blosmus"!

Like a Speaker with gravitas before a smitten room.

Very beautiful to look at but 1st high wind/rain they end up a soggy mesh on the floor.

It is our twin town in France, Helen. xx

Helen of Troy - almost as geographically displaced as the monicker you use... but you'll rejoice to know there is a 'Rue de Wigan' in our twin town of Angers, in the Anjou region of France. Google it.

I love the snowy white blossoms on the overladen branches... They stay for a fleeting length of time before they drift off... But it's worth the wait....

Superb Aubrey, it's very nice around there now with the trees, and a lot better than when it was the town rubbish tip known as The Gant, and behind the first tree you can see one of the many methane ventilators that are around there.

Mick, It's only clean around there because the entertainments and food outlets that attract the litter tossers are all shut, the streets everywhere are litter free - for now.

Helen, it's Angers we're twinned with, not Anjou, (my mistake), but there are a couple of roads in Wigan with French names because of our connection to France.

As has already been said, the high winds come shortly after the Apple and Cherry trees are in full bloom....I've often said wouldn't you have thought Mother Nature would have sorted that out by now.

Thank you all for your complements.
