don't talk silly alan, winter officially begins with the winter solstice, which this year falls on saturday december 21 2019, ask an old farmer if you don't believe me.
A nice spread, Ron. The blue-grey leaves are a bit of a puzzle, though - maybe a eucalyptus.
I see them now, in rows of four,
Beneath the frosted glass;
My tambourine of autumn leaves
Where mother always passed.
And though has gone the tired lay,
Still lives 'the warming shore',
And orchestrated, fading steps,
Beyond my bedroom's door.

Phyllis,both you and Alan are correct it depends if you use the astrological or the metro logical start to winter.It was explained on tv today.
