Very Autumnal, Terence.
Very peaceful.

Its a good path now that farmer John is looking after it.

A refreshing change, zingy colours to brighten the day.
The tree on the left is choked up with Ivy.
You have an eye for a photo Terence.

I like this one Terence. You've captured the sense that Autumn is about to begin in earnest.
The trees are arched and ready to go. The leaves like swimmers waiting for the gun. Soon they will shoal to earth falling incessantly in a copper cataract. The lane will be alive with them , writhing on the ground like stranded fish. They get everywhere.
After your walk some will fall from your boot onto the kitchen floor.

Great photo, T.B.

Rare is light beyond such ways,
I stood this airy breeze,
With darting friends on hazel, fed,
Beneath those burnished trees.
And ne'er, as then, had visions dawned
By autumn's lofty frieze;
I'd climbed upon a mizzenmast,
And hopped the Seven Seas.

Love the line Philip ,

And ne’er, as then , had visions dawned

What a pause for a beautiful line !

I agree with all the sentiments espressed about this photo. Everywhere has its little beauty spots & this is one Terence, thank you.

Thanks XPat. I must confess, though, I'd liked to have expressed my cock-a-hoop a little bit softer on the penultimate line, . . . perhaps 'I'd laughed beneath a mizzenmast'.
And Seven Seas had been a needless concern post-PaD: Oh, No! not dewy 'pats.
