They're beautiful Aubrey..we had a few in Summer on the Buddleia bush,but I also love that shrub..I don't recognize it..the leaves look like an African Violet but I know it isn't that..please put me out of my misery and pray tell...thanking you in anticipitation.

Maureen, Hugh is correct, the plant is a Sedum. It is full of butterflies every year.

Thank you Dave, There were that many butterflies there at the same time, I was unable to name some of them, but most were definitely the Painted Ladies. The small tortoiseshell and painted lady are very much alike.
