Looks very private Ron is it one of these clubs that scantily dressed women dance with poles and sit on mens knees

I'm sure there are other nationalities besides Poles that go there. :)

I was born in Aspull and lived there 1951 - 55 and 1963 - 69. Now return to tend graves at St Elizabeth's and St David's.
Ron, I don't know where this is. I do remember the Labour Club and the old and new doctors' surgery, but not this.
Peebee - I suspect, if Mick is right, what goes on there is more an Howfen thing. :)

I think this was once The Labour Club, Gary. Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. xx

Gary if you were born in Aspall you will remember Woods Row, the Red Hills as we knew them on your way past the allotments towards Bill Taylor scrap yard, the Civic Center was on your right close by the lodge we called the Fiver.

IT is by the bowling green. not far from Moss pit row.

This club is into the fields on the right hand side of Wigan Road, Aspull as you are coming towards Wigan. I don't think it's ever been the labour club, it used to be the Civic Centre. It's a social club, and used for functions.

Sorry , that should read on left- hand side of Wigan Road, as you are coming towards Wigan.

Thanks for all your help on this one - Jip, I remember the Red Hills and between Irene, Elizabeth and RonD I can visualise the spot.
