Beautiful photograph.

Not really colourful but we need them, they are slowly getting rare to be seen like most other butterflies and insects, sadly.

You must have great patience to wait until you can capture this wonderful photo. Thank you so much.

Nice one David. Wish any flutterbyy would come into my garden. Only two cabbage whites so far, could have been the same one.

Buddleia shrubs attract butterflies and bees like a magnet -especially in hot weather.

Nice photo but it could have been taken anywhere

I suspect any nice flowers will attract butterflies and bees, some more than others.

Really nice photo but I don't recognnize the species. Maybe it recently came to England since 1980 AD (after derek).

For this to be classified as a nice photo, it should have been taken showing the brightly coloured easily reconised top half of the wings.

I took a photo of a Comma butterfly last week.

It was nowhere near as good as yours David. I need to get the focus better and also the depth of field.

Your shot is tremendous. Well done, lad. Great photo.

As Maggie said that took some patience David...give yourself a pat on the back.
