Dare I say about something so exquisite I must have been having a 'bad hair'day! The picture is excellent.

Apparently, this is shortly to be shown on BBC TV in a programme about Egypt. Can't remember the details so will have to keep our eyes peeled.

A lot of things about ancient Egypt is untrue, but we're still teaching it in schools, like claiming the pyramids were tombs for dead Pharaohs, yet theres never been any evidence to prove it, and saying they know how they were built by using ramps. And trying to prove the Sphinx was built around 2500BC, but evidence shows it was originally constructed during a time when Egypt had rainfall, around 10,000 yrs ago. Zahi Hawass will turn up in the BBC programme no doubt. Personally I prefer the work of Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval

Don't know about oilcloth Owdkewyed, looks more like a bradish 'at to me. I'm looking forward to seeing if I get a mention in this upcoming BBC programme.

Alan H, the programme was shown on Monday evening at 9.00pm and repeated on BBC2 on Wed night. It has been a very interesting series.

Thanks, Dave Johnson. Just watched it on catch up TV. Did you work at Pilks R&D Labs at Lathom?

Comment by: Neil Rigby on 21st January 2016 at 20:31

Very interesting, the museum should be very proud. Thanks for the picture.

I always wondered what had happened to my old girlfriend, Rita Clossick!

Alan H, sorry but have only just seen your message. I have never worked at Pilks and being a dyed in the wool Wigan RL fan I get a funny feeling just thinking about anything to do with Sent Ellins, if you know what I mean ;-)

They have even given the visual of red weins in the eyes. Especially you can see it properly at the left eye.Their art is amazing.
