You're entitled to your opinion Mick but so is Maureen.

Obviously mick doesn't see what others see. Probably got used to looking with slitty eyes

Comment by: Garry on 26th July 2015 at 18:59

What's your problem Mick. It's a lovely colourful shot.

Ignore the negative comment Ron. The gardeners at Haigh Hall must have worked hard to put on such a colourful display of bedding plants. Never saw anything like this when I used to live in Wigan and visit. Nice colourful photo.

Mick.You are a pain in the ./

Comment by: Garry on 27th July 2015 at 21:00

Essex Girl, I take what you say, the gardeners would be Wigan Council, and it is nice. But years ago believe me Haigh Hall or the plantations were much much better under Wigan Corporation. The wonderful flower beds and green houses were really breathtaking next to the large pond.

Comment by: Essex Girl on 28th July 2015 at 12:42

Gary, maybe that's because of all the "cutbacks" the council have had to make. I've been watching the programme about Wigan on the TV. "Call the Council".

Comment by: Garry on 28th July 2015 at 14:55

Essex Girl you mean, "Don't blame the Council"...Garry two Rs.
No not the cutbacks, you only have to look at Ince Park under I.U.D.C.it was a much cleaner and nicer park until W.M.B.C was formed in 1974, not just Ince but Hindley and many others etc etc.
