Neil,
Do you know if the roof has been replaced? I have a vague recollection of there being a roof fund collection some years ago, but I may be getting confused with another church. This one ( a nice photo by the way) seems to have a lower roof than the stonework on the tower suggests.

I see what you mean Aubrey, hadn't spotted that. I don't know when that alteration dates to. I cannot help regarding the roof collection you recall, sorry.

I believe there was a series of pictures posted by Martin,and taken by his father some time ago,which showed the work being done. I also have a somewhat vague memory of hearing about Death watch beetles in the roof area-(this,however may be the effects of Tempus fugit!)

Aubrey, the roof was totally replaced some years ago and has also been repaired many times.
