Interesting photo. Reminds me of the nursery rhyme, "Old Mother Hubbard"

Ive been following this lad and his boat for the last two years now.

He was at Burscough for some time getting it ready, then last month he was at Appley Bridge locks and now Red Rock.

It looks better from the front showing his piano.

What kind of licence would be needed for that kind of boat?

When we had a share in a narrow boat, we never had more than 1 week. it was too claustrophobic for us to stay longer. Had some wonderful times though, especially along this canal.

Looks a bit top heavy, I wonder what it's like to sail on.

Lovely photo Eddie.best shot this year

Comment by: Maureen on 7th July 2014 at 11:01

Kath,I was thinking the very same thing...I'd sooner look at that than Tracy Enims bed or whatever her name is.

Comment by: Garry on 7th July 2014 at 11:49

"Best shot this year"..where have you been hiding, Twitter. It's very unusual, doesn't look safe, not for me!

Comment by: Jack on 7th July 2014 at 12:54

I'm puzzled! Does this vessel move? Or is it pulled from place to place. Is it legal. Not trying to be rude if you own it, so unusual. I thought the canal authorities were really strict. Forgive my ignorance. I thought there were all kinds of rules and regulations a boat/barge/houseboat needed to follow to be on the canal. Clearly I'm wrong.

Comment by: kath on 7th July 2014 at 13:50

Maureen - I agree Emin's bed is a load of pretentious rubbish but it's made her rich. it's the Emperor's New Clothes syndrome. I'd say a lot of effort has gone into this boat and a good example of recycling too.

If it was April 1st, it would be Fools day.

Comment by: Fred on 7th July 2014 at 17:36

Who is Tracy Enims?

Comment by: Fred Mason on 7th July 2014 at 18:47

Let expressionism rule....!!!

Good luck to the owners....well done you...!!!!

Comment by: Maureen on 7th July 2014 at 19:47

Fred, she goes under the title of an artist..after breaking up with her boyfriend she composed !!!! an unmade
bed scattered with dirty underwear, used condoms and all sorts of rubbish,Charles Sattchi bought it for one point something million pounds,he's just auctioned it off for
over two million I think..it makes me very angry that someone like that is supposedly an artist...it's rubbish.

Comment by: A bolton on 7th July 2014 at 22:57

Ive heard of a dos house ...but never a dos boat...

Comment by: Fred on 8th July 2014 at 00:52

Thanks Maureen. Sad thing is when she drops dead that rubbish will be worth even more. That Charles Satchi should be inside anyways..

Comment by: house proud on 8th July 2014 at 06:40

If we lived next door to a house in that condition, some of you would have a much different comment to make. after saying that, it would suit some folk.
