Remember going inside there once must have been in the late 1970s, I think it was for a sort of local history exhibition or something like that.

I took photos in there several years ago.There were used needles everywhere.The incumbent (as he called himself) thought I was up to no good !
The Rector always had a good bonfire in the fifties.

Lovely building. Because of that, I expect it will soon end up derelict.
Someone at Wigan council seems to hate old buildings...

My friend Barry Snelgrove (now sadly deceased) used to live here and acted as caretaker to save the building being vandalised. I would sleep here on my visits to Wigan for a night out on the town.I have happy memories of times spent at the hall.What a fantastic hall to house a fantastic guy and his boys Darryl and Lloyd . I.T.Greenhalgh , Bolton, Lancs
