I have lived in Alicante, Spain for the last 15 years but love to look at photo of the day every day it cheers me up when I see all these wonderful photos from wigan and surrounding areas. I love daffodils and tulips they are my favorites. You can take the the boy from Wigan but you can never take Wigan from the boy. WIGANER AND PROUD !!!

If you like Wigan so much, Steven, why are you in Spain?
You obviously can't be as proud as you state...

Christine Jervis, I am a Wigan ex pat and reside in Australia. I cannot argue with your comment because to put it simply "You are right"!

The Alms houses are set back off Hall Lane which leads up to the Lodge on the edge of Haigh Plantations

Thank you so much for my favourite flowers to herald Spring! We've had some thawing of late, but more snow with some freezing rain overnight, so still 4ft. snowbanks each side of the driveway make shopping etc. a bit of a risky event getting out onto the road!.....Don't think we'll be seeing our Daffodils anytime soon!

Nice shot Dave, You beat me to it, I went out to do more or less the same shot [Daffs in the foreground with a nice setting in the background] soon has I got my camera out the rain came. Great shot though Dave, nice composition, A hint of summer I was going to call it
