Has this photo been taken a little while ago, there's still leaves on the trees.

I beleive it is Ernest's birthday today. If so, happy day from one Springfield boy to another!

Does anyone actually fish there anymore? and what about the other nearby ponds I knew as a kid -Waddicars, Three Corners, Blackwater, Coolies etc etc or have the convenient, man made, well stocked carp ponds taken over fishing?
Dont see mnay fishing the canal anymore either

Scholes Malc You still see plenty of men fishing in the canal, theres a lot of them just walking along the canal bank with short rods and a few cans of strong ale trying to catch pike.

I used to love fishing in the Blackwaters as a kid. The water was always so clear and there were lots of fish in it.

Roy there plenty of fishing matches, sometimes about 30 to 50 men which can make it a stop start if your on a bike like me because of them pulling in there long rods and blocking the path while changing there bait
