We have 5 wood pigeons flying in and out of our back garden. They are a pest because they keep emptying the bird feeders and no other birds get a smell in

Public enemy number 1. The number of times I have had to slow down in the car to avoid these birds sauntering across the road showing next to no fear. Live and let live though.

Pigeons of various kinds did great work for us in the 1st and 2nd world war. They are as entitled to life as is anything else. They've been around a lot longer than mankind.
In my garden, the pigeons only eat seed dropped by the smaller birds. They never try and get seeds from feeders.
