Dogs and there owners spoil the peace of the plantation.

A classic pose! Did you get a model release form signed?

Dogs should be on a lead in a public place. We were walking there last week and a dog that was off it's lead went for my husband, for no other reason than we were walking past.
Luckily it's owner was quick to grab it.
Also plastic bags full of dog muck left behind by dirty dog owners. Pick it up and bin it or take it home with you. It's disgusting.
Are you listening, you irresponsible owners.

Aww shes lovely,

Comment by: Cyril on 7th March 2013 at 11:41

Strange how such a nice photo as this of a dog enjoying a walk can attract such negative comments, it is obvious that it's cyclists and aggressive walkers who spoil it for everyone else.

Comment by: Harry C. on 7th March 2013 at 11:53

Walker. I must agree with what you say regarding irresponsible dog owners, you should see the pavement in my street, sometimes in my driveway, but I have had dogs all my life until recently and always had them completely under control and cleaned up bagged and binned it. You can't tar every dog owner with the same brush.
Maureen thanks but Tig is a she. H.

Very refreshing I think I prefer dogs to humans, present company excepted.

Comment by: Maureen Andrews on 7th March 2013 at 13:28

Sorry Tig..you're a beautiful girl.

Comment by: Bernie J on 7th March 2013 at 13:39

Dogs should by law be on a leash at all times, some dogs are just not safe, That goes for you as well Harry C , I thought you had more sense.

Comment by: Mick on 7th March 2013 at 14:00

Quiet often these dogs who are allowed to run wild dogs come up to someone who is walking and jump up at them and leave mucky paw marks on there pants.

Comment by: Linda on 7th March 2013 at 14:44

What a lovely dog! She looks to be having great fun. Sadly we lost our beautiful 12 yr old Lab last year but we always bagged & binned his poo. I agree there are some irresponsible dog owners who don't. You should see the pavements near us & I am sure it is the same dog/owner. Why is it you never see the culprits. I would certainly have to say something to them if I did!

Comment by: alan lad on 7th March 2013 at 19:13

nowt wrong with dogs its them owners who have um just for look at me with my 1 2 or even three dogs.

Comment by: Harry C. on 7th March 2013 at 20:29

Thanks to all you dog lovers like myself for your comments, to anyone else all I can say is that you are of course entitled to your own opinion, but I, like many other dog owners, have not had any problems with all my dogs, and Tig is a good natured friendly dog, with responsible owners.

Comment by: hindley lad on 7th March 2013 at 20:49

get a life.

Comment by: Sky Rider on 8th March 2013 at 11:23

Bernie j, If i can just point you in the right direction over your comment on the law. It's Probably best if you know what you are talking about before pontificating your wisdom on others.https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/overview

Comment by: DM on 8th March 2013 at 17:19

Bernie J you are correct in saying that some dogs are not safe but the majority of dogs are well behaved, good natured and friendly if they have responsible owners. Your suggestion that Harry C is just not safe and should be on a leash at all times is just downright RUDE! Get your facts in order,I happen to know he is very sensible and safe and certainly does not need to wear a leash!
By the way a lovely photo of a very nice dog.
