Nice shot of Wigan Central, it seems the patio has staked its claim but there's not many folks about. |

It must be early Ernest because theres no eastern europeans sat sipping coffee and smoking there smelly cigs outside of Starbucks.
I wonder what those chalk marks means. |

They need to do something about those uneven flags on the pavement.
Otherwise, a good photo. |

Nice enough photo - captures Wigan well, but not interesting enough to make a JigSaw puzzle of!! |

Lovely pic, Ernest.
I wonder where the people are?
I used to fancy a lovely lass who worked at H. Samuels, jewellers across the road at the top of the Makinson Arcade.
Maureen was her name...!!!! |

I took this photo on Wed.6th Feb.`13.which was cold with a NW wind and explains the few people about, also nobody sat outside Starbucks.
I`d decided to take it before `Art`comment 5th Feb.01:01 on David Thomas`P-a-d 30th Jan.
Only A Parr and myself commented on David`s photo not being natural. Garry and `Art` were disparaging. David didn`t reply to my comment at 23:11 on his 2nd Feb.P-a-D, but he must have used a zoom lens.
The time on Wigan Parish Church clock cannot be relied upon for accuracy! |

Disparaging?...A true comment...The original was square & in focus, without trickery, as you tried to accuse the photographher of.
Anyroad why haven't you got your verticals, vertical, they were in the original...doh!!:o( |

Jean, if you click on Album, Work, Wigan Corporation Transport then look at page 3 and you`ll see the bus routes for 1970. No doubt they were the same for earlier. The bus to Preston is still no.113 and was the same pre-war!
There were 3 bus routes to Beech Hill, Nos.1, 1A and 1B.
My comment at 22.40 yesterday explains the absence of people. |
