I see a conservatory salesperson has been successful !! When they ring me about double glazing I say I`ve got everything apart from a conservatory and I don`t want one !!
Whereabouts is Winter Hill, Ron?
Would Darwen be somewhere ahead?
Another fine photo showing our green and pleasant land.

Upholland is the best place to see Wigan from when the weather is nice

What a lovely photo Ron. England's green and pleasant land - and it should be green after all the rain we have had!

Magic!

Comment by: Roy on 17th June 2012 at 13:34

Ernest, you can just see the Winter Hill mast between the last two trees on the right. Darwen and its tower cant be seen from here it,s well over to the left.

Comment by: Roy on 17th June 2012 at 13:57

Sorry Mick for our info clashing, your post wasn,t on when i sent mine.

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 17th June 2012 at 14:33

Thanks Mick and Roy. Can now see the mast which I refused the opportunity to ascend - refer P-a-D 25th April at 14:00. Darwen will be more or less directly behind Winter Hill.
Mick, you raised a big smile with `Popular` as it`s `poplar`!

It was taken from a patio of a friends house, the house is in an avenue just below where the old Majestic cinema was ,now a ware-house for cleaning stuff.
