Another good one Judith what a contrast between the old and the new, the lighting is perfect it makes the old place stands out well done. Don’t think your dad could have done better, bought a few things from there in the past.

Yes, it was Eva and Ada penningtons shop. My great grandma's shop.

They leave buildings like this to become unsafe, and then demolish them. It's a very old and much used trick of Wigan Council. It wouldn't surprise me if it catches fire like the Casino did.
