In this day and age if its so easy to take a photo of a plane using a telephoto lens think how easy it would be to blow one out of the sky god forbid

As you can see this a large crop and has been processed in Photo Shop and Light Room and these are far better than the software that comes with camera I don't even use mine.
Phil W
I don't know where about you are in Wigan but if you want to get a shot of the A380 the best place is around Manchester Airport that comes in daily around 12.30pm or you could go to Dubai where I got my shot of one.
I did get a shot of an Emirates A330
yesterday over Barton so you might even be luky around there.

I am in Hindley Green and the flightpath passes over our house and i think the aircraft are at about 3000ft so the A380 will stand out enough for my 200mm lens. I just aint seen one passing yeey.

Phil if you log into Radar 24 you can track aircraft into various place ie Manchester/Liverpool. The a380 show as flight no EKO17 and arrives in Manhcester around 12.30pm you will catch it on aflight path over Leicester as it gets closer in it will either in via Hyde or over Runcorn/Widnes you are more or less on the same flight path as me and Im also still waiting for it but don't expect to see it over Wigan

hi janet and catherine, why dont you get on a plane and come home ? i know it might not be that easy, i have a sister in salt lake america and when she visits she always says that when the plane is decending into manchester and she sees our green and pleasant land she fills up and knows she is home , i think she would come home if there was nothing standing in her way but she has been gone for 50 yrs now and has 11 children and loads of grandchildren so how can she leave now,so i think she will have to make do with visits.
