What`s all the "gear" then ??(not that I would be any better off knowing !!)I`m just curious.
jean F, The strange looking device closest to the camera is to rest the pole on when he pulls it back. the pole is often up to 10 metres long and not a conventional fishing rod, they can cost thousands. The wheels are a little trolley to cart all the kit about.

That is Orrell Water Park that used to be the old reservoirs. Are you the Gerald Pilkington that used to live in Queen Street?
Freda, Just to correct you. That is not the waht was the 1st resrevoir at the bottom of sandy lane. This is what was the 2nd reservoir and is at the bottom of Moss road near where the Colliers Arms Pub used to be.
