JohnB. It is the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Haigh. The Lancaster pound goes from top lock Wigan, to bottom lock Wheelton,and was originally part of the Lancaster canal, hence the Lancaster pound.

Scene never changed in 50 years, Boat house used to be on left of bridge on photo, swam in canal many times, Happy memories,
