dan, what a great picture! You've captured it well. I know the spot - it's the lock (that's the lcok opening mechanism in the foreground) just behind the (now) 'Keepers pub' formerly The Woodhouses, with the railway and bridge in theforeground and the rear of GKN steelworks at the lhs. I grew up in Canal Street, moved to marsh bonk, then standish lower ground so i've known that spot for many years. When was it took dan?

Thanks for the comments. Yes its an HDR photo - basically 3 photos taken at different exposures and then merged together to take the best bits of each. This was taken on Sunday afternoon.
