You've done it again, Dave, fantastic. But why does the sun have edges like a threepenny bit ?

Beautiful picture. I love the way the spiders web can be seen. Very peaceful shot.

Alan - the shape of the sun is due to the camera iris blades.
Glad you like it :)

And if you had used a Nikon 85 mm f1.4 ?

Another brilliant photo Dave, as for some of yesterdays comments, does it really matter if it isn't instantly regognisable as Wigan.
Anyway I like it, and yesterdays.
Cheers keep themm coming H.

I enjoy both the "building-type" photos and the nature ones ... you have different birds, butterflies, flowers, etc., than here in Kansas. Thank you for taking your time and talent and making my day ... I place your lovely photos on my desktop at work and share them with co-workers. Thanks, Dave ...

Thanks all :-)
David - the 85mm F/1.4 would have given a more round sun due to it's curved iris blades. Well - up to about F5.6 or so. Feel free to buy me one :-)

It IS instantly recognisable as Wigan. Everyone knows the sun only shines on WIGAN....My home town.
