|Drugs recovered in Pemberton
A large quantity of drugs was recovered in Pemberton.
At 11.45am on Tuesday 3 February 2009, police conducted a routine check on a silver coloured Rover 400 on Canberra Road, Marsh Green.
During the search a large quantity of Class A drugs, believed to be heroin and cocaine, worth around £2000 were found.
Two men aged 57 and 33 years old and a woman aged 34, were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
They have been bailed until 23 April 2009 pending further enquiries.
Officers have also seized the Rover.
Inspector Peter Clarke of Pemberton Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "This is a significant seizure of drugs and I am pleased we have been able to remove them from our streets.
"Drugs and the people who supply them blight our communities and I want to reassure residents we take this type of crime very seriously.
"If anyone has any information about the sale and use of drugs please get in touch.
"We would also like to hear from anyone who may have information about the silver Rover and its recent activities.
"The Pemberton Neighbourhood Policing Team are committed to working with local residents and partner agencies to improve our community, reducing crime and anti-social behaviour."
