|Robbery at takeaway
A raider threatened staff with a hunting knife during a robbery at a takeaway in Wigan.
At about 9.45pm on Monday 2 February 2009, a man entered Master Wok Chinese takeaway on Kitt Green Road, brandishing the knife and demanded money.
He went behind the counter and approached the manager, who fearing for his safety, pointed to a wooden cashtray.
The offender took the cash tray, left the takeaway through the front entrance and ran off towards City Road.
Detective Constable Tony McFadden, of Wigan CID, said: "This robber made serious threats to the man working in the takeaway while brandishing a knife.
"Fortunately, nobody was injured but it is vital we catch the individual responsible so he is not able to strike again."
The offender is described as of medium build and spoke with a local accent. He wore a grey hooded top, a black jacket, black scarf that covered his face, grey Adidas tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
