CCTV of man wanted following incident at pub
Criminal damage - Moon Under The Water, Wigan

Officers investigating after a door was smashed at a Wigan pub have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace.

Just after 6.00am on Thursday 18 August 2008 a member of staff at Moon Under the Water on Market Place was on duty when a group of young men and women standing outside started shouting through the glass at him.

One of the men began kicking the glass door, causing the glass to smash.

The member of staff called the police but after breaking the glass the man walked away laughing with the rest of the group.

Police Constable Ann McGuinness who is based in Wigan said: "I'm determined to find out who is responsible for this mindless act of criminal damage and who this man is who terrified a member of staff at the pub for no other reason than to show off in front of his friends. After the incident he simply walked away laughing, and that behaviour will not be tolerated. If you know who he is I urge you to call."

Anyone with any information about this incident, or who recognises the man in the picture is asked to contact police on 0161 856 7718 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
