|Police continue search for missing Wigan woman
Police searching for a woman missing from her Wigan home are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have spotted her to contact them following reported sightings.
Margaret Elizabeth Gregson, 62, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, was last seen at about 6.30pm on Monday 18 August 2008 at her house on Amberley Close, Whelley.
Margaret does not have her medication with her and as time passes, officers' and her family's concern for her is rising.
When she was last seen, Margaret was wearing a red coat, a blue top, blue trousers and white shoes. She is of heavy build, wears glasses, is 5ft 3in tall and has a mole on her left cheek.
Search teams are continuing to look for Margaret and have received reported sightings of her in the Hemfield Close area and the area around the golf course in Hindley.
Inspector Diane Bamber from GMP's Wigan division said: "Margaret has been missing from home for two nights now and her family and the police are desperate to find her.
"We have had a number of reported sightings of Margaret but I would urge anyone else who thinks they may have seen her and who has not yet phoned police to do so.
"I would also ask residents to bear in mind that she might not be wearing exactly the same clothes as when she went missing. If you see anyone matching Margaret's general description please call us."
Anyone with any information on Margaret's whereabouts is asked to contact GMP's switchboard on 0161 872 5050.
