|Family tied up and robbed at gunpoint
Robbers threatened a family of four at gunpoint and tied up the parents while they stole cash and jewellery.
Police are appealing for witnesses after men entered the flat above the Fortune Inn Chinese takeaway in Wellfield Road, Beech Hill, Wigan.
At about 2am on Wednesday 14 November 2007, the victim, his wife and two children were asleep when three men came in.
The husband, aged 29, was struck with a blunt object and has an injury to his left eye.
One of the offenders is believed to have had a handgun and threatened the parents.
The offenders then tied up the parents with carpet tape to the wrists, ankles and mouth.
The mother's wrists were tied and she was then taken into the second bedroom with the children.
During the family's 20-minute ordeal, the robbers stole cash, a bankcard, a gold necklace, three mobile phones, a laptop computer and a hard drive.
They left via the front door to the property. All three were described as being Chinese.
Detective Sergeant Ian Melling of Wigan CID said: "This was an extremely distressing incident for this family. They have been so terrified that they no longer wish to return to their home."
Anyone with any information about the robbery should call Wigan CID on 0161 856 7254 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
