Woman robbed while pushing pram
Thursday 23rd November, 2006

Police are appealing for witnesses after a mother was pinned to a wall and robbed as she pushed her baby in a pram along a road in Wigan.

The 24-year-old woman had been walking to Bryn train station along Wigan Road when she was attacked from behind by two men at approximately 10.50am on Tuesday 21 November 2006.

She was pushing her 11-month-old baby boy in her pram when she was pinned up against a wall. One of the men held the woman while the other rifled through her pockets. Both men eventually ran off with just 13.70.

One of the men is said to be white, around 5ft 7in tall, 18-years-old, of slim to medium build with dark hair. He is said to have had big ears and was wearing a navy jumper with a white tree on the front, similar in style to a 'Timberland' jumper.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place in broad daylight on a busy main road.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 7352 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
