A taste of the continent hits Wigan
Wednesday 7th June, 2017

The streets of Wigan will be filled with the aromas of delicious delicacies as it welcomes a continental street market this week.

RREvents will be bringing their continental market to town following on from the success of the Christmas Markets they hosted in the borough last year.

The market, which is free to enter, will be offering delicious hot and cold food at Standishgate and Market Place, from Thursday 8th to Saturday 10th June, from 10am to 6pm.

Traders will be displaying the finest products from their respective countries and shoppers can pick up a variety of treats sure to tickle those taste buds.

Karl Battersby, Wigan Council’s director for economy, said: “The Christmas markets proved popular with shoppers last year and we hope many will return to enjoy the treats on offer this week.

“It will compliment everything Wigan Town Centre has to offer including Wigan Market which offers a wide range of quality goods all year round and we’d encourage shoppers to discover what is on their doorstep every day too.”
