Pesto at the Dicconson Arms marks its second birthday with a week of celebrations

Italian restaurant, Pesto at the Dicconson Arms, is inviting customers to join them in a week of
celebrations to mark its second birthday.

Pesto at the Dicconson Arms opened its doors on March 2nd 2015 following a £300,000 investment
by the privately-owned restaurant group Pesto. The investment saw an extensive refurbishment of the
historic pub, bringing the Italian culinary concept of piattini to Lancashire for the first time.

Since opening its doors at Appley Lane, the restaurant has enjoyed great success. A staggering 316,
453 drinks and dishes were lovingly prepared and served to local customers last year alone.

Favourite dishes from the popular menu are Gamberoni all’aglio e pepperoncino, king prawns sautéed
in white wine, onions, garlic and pepperoncino chilli, plus Italian classics, such as the Spiedini di
pollo, marinated chicken skewers wrapped in fine cured ham, and the traditional Pizzetta pepperoni.

To mark the milestone, the restaurant would like to celebrate by extending its lunchtime offer. This
will allow customers to enjoy three delicious piattini dishes from just £8.95, Monday to Thursday,
with no time restrictions.

Diners lucky enough to share a birthday with the restaurant during that special week will be gifted a
complimentary bottle of prosecco, making that special occasion a little more so. Customers are
advised to notify the restaurant on booking (terms and conditions apply).

Speaking on the milestone Natelle Scott, general manager of Pesto at the Dicconson Arms said: “It’s
been an incredible two years and the support we’ve received has been over-whelming. It’s a great
opportunity to treat our regular customers and to throw open our doors to the whole community. We
love to see customers sharing their special occasions with us and hope they will join us in raising a
glass to our second birthday.”

Renowned for Italian small plates or ‘piatinni’, Pesto boasts over 40 dishes full of big flavours.
Giving a true taste of little Italy, dishes include Pizzetta picante con salsiccia with spicy Italian
sausage and Penne con pollo al dragoncello with chicken breast, fresh tarragon, mascarpone and
pecorino cheese.

Offering a main, day time and afternoon tea menu, the restaurant is an ideal location for all occasions.
