|Find out about adoption at drop-in session
Become one of the many forever families who are making a difference to young people across Wigan Borough.
There were 27 new adopters approved in Wigan Borough in 2015/16 who were ready to open their lives to children and young people who are looking for a family.
Anyone interested in finding more out about adoption can find out more at a drop-in session taking place in Wigan town centre later this month.
WWiSH Adoption, who looks after adoption in Wigan Borough, St Helens and Warrington, will be hosting the session where anyone interested in finding out more about adoption can pop along to get more information on how the process works.
It is the ideal opportunity for anyone who thinks they might want to adopt but are unsure whether they might qualify to find out more.
Councillor Joanne Platt, portfolio holder for children’s services, said: “If you’ve ever thought that adoption could be a rewarding experience then come along to this event to hear just how much you can make a difference. Those who have their forever family thanks to adoption come from all walks of life and you could get the chance to make a difference by adopting. The friendly team at WWiSH are there to guide you every step of the way and help you make the best decision you’ll ever make.”
The drop-in session will take place on Wednesday, February 15th at Wigan Town Hall from 2pm to 4pm. Future evening sessions will also be taking place for those who cannot attend this session.
