|Tickets on sale for bonfire extravaganza
THE skies in Wigan are set to light up with another dazzling firework display as Haigh Hall and Country Park’s bonfire extravaganza returns.
Tickets are on sale for this popular annual event, which takes place on Sunday 2 November with live music, family fairground rides, food stands and the headline bonfire and firework finale. Gates open at 3.45pm.
Wigan’s very own crooner James Norton performing on stage, and Wish FM will be on site. There’s also the opportunity to enjoy a hot supper with traditional parkin cake and tea and coffee at a bonfire supper at Haigh Hall.
This year, the fireworks show will be delivered by award-winning Leigh company Smart Pyro which most recently won the British Musical Firework Championships.
Keith Bergman, event organiser, said: “The bonfire extravaganza is one of the most popular events in the Haigh calendar and this year is going to be bigger than ever before. We’re looking forward to putting on another great night of activities and entertainment for all the family so be sure to come along. Tickets for the bonfire supper always sell out quickly so make sure you book quickly!”
Graham Yates, of Smart Pyrotechnics, added: “We are proud to have been chosen to provide displays in the borough for almost 10 years. This year we have entertained crowds at the very popular proms in the park events and now at Haigh Hall. Hopefully everyone will enjoy the highlights from our winners display in Southport.”
