YOUNG people can once again take part in an exciting event to raise money for Wigan charity Joining Jack.
The Junior Joining Jack run, organised by leisure and culture provider WLCT, takes place at Robin Park Arena on Saturday 6 September.
All proceeds from the event are donated to the charity which aims to raise awareness and funds research into developing a cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, one of the most common fatal genetic diseases in the world.
Janet Bergman, of WLCT, said: "Last year's Junior Joining Jack run was a huge success and we're really pleased to be running the event again in support of such a worthy charity. This is a great way for young people to get active and healthy and help raise money for a good cause."
Anyone wishing to take part in the event can register on the day and the entry fee is only £1.
The following distances are available:
- 1k for children aged under eight; registration 10am-10.30am; race starts at 11am
