A man was repeatedly kicked during a street robbery in Wigan.
The 24-year-old was walking down an alley way off King Street, close to Chicago Rock at around 12.30am on Sunday 2 February 2014, when he walked past three men.
He was hit at the side of the head and fell to the floor, hitting his head on the wall.
He was repeatedly kicked before the men took his wallet and phone and walked off.
One of the men is described as being white, of slim build, 5ft 10in tall, in his 30s, with short dark hair, stubble, wore a green parka jacket and dark blue jeans.
Detective Constable Sheena Maerevoet from Wigan West INPT said: “The victim decided to take a short cut through the alley way before he was viciously assaulted by these three thugs,
“He was not only hit and kicked in the head but he knocked it against the wall as he fell to the ground. He was taken to hospital but thankfully his injuries are not serious.
“I would ask anyone who may have been leaving a pub or club in the area and witnessed the robbery to contact us.”
