Fire at house in Golborne
Tuesday 4th February, 2014

Police are investigating a fire which happened at a house on Golborne.

Between 7.15pm and 7.30pm on Sunday 2 February 2014 a man approached a house on Kings Road and threw two bottles that were alight through the downstairs window.

The two occupants of the house, aged in their 70s, were treated by paramedics at the scene.

The offender is described as a white man, around 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing dark coloured clothing.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses.

Detective Constable Lynsey Watson said: "This as a malicious act that has left the occupants of the house very shaken by what has happened. We would ask that anyone with information call police urgently."
