An award-winning Food Festival is set to bring a real International flavour to Standish gate in Wigan this March. Opening on Tuesday 4th March, traders from around the world will be resident until Saturday 8th March 2014. Foodies of Wigan will have the opportunity to shop for items from all over the world as our Continental traders travel from all over to bring an array of products typical of their region offering a truly unique experience not to be missed.
Jimmy Bean will be there with his large selection of rich flavoured coffee beans (ground to your liking) along with his large selection of exotic loose leaf teas. Solsolet Tapas shall be offering Wigan delicious Italian Catalan and Spanish Paella as Greek Grill House presenting Greek gyros, meat skewers, a selection of Greek origin moussaka.
Meats of The World have something very different for Wigan, exotic meats from all over the globe including Kangaroo, Wild Boar and even Ostrich, all ethically sourced. Wigan shall also be playing host to Glorias Fayre who have an exciting array of noodles which are bound to please most taste buds.
A spokesperson for Market Place has expressed their excitement for this event, “Our traders shall be offering Wigan a selection of flavours from all across the globe offering something for the whole family. It shall definitely be the place to be!”
Market Place are also bringing along our Authentic German Schwenkgrille; serving traditional and spicy Bratwurst all the way from Germany. The Cheese Board will also be in Wigan with a variety of tasty cheeses from all over the world. Crepes Temptation has tasty French crepes as Continental Cottage bring their Traditional German Salami House offering a large range of different salamis and sausage.
