|Free health checks, advice and information at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust’s Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Free blood pressure checks, advice and information will be on offer as part of Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust’s (Bridgewater) AGM on 26 September at Haydock Park Racecourse.
Come and talk to us about health, wellbeing and our services during a market place from 4pm. There will be information on a range of services including district nursing, oral health, heart health, health trainers, psychological therapies and learning disability services. We will also be joined by the Council for Voluntary Services and our event sponsors Medical Physics International and Scan Mobility.
The formal AGM will commence at 5pm and will include an update on the main developments during the past year and our future plans. It will also include brief presentations on some specific achievements during 2012/13.
A buffet will be provided after the formal business of the AGM has concluded and there will be more opportunity to view the stalls and speak to health professionals.
Bridgewater Chairman Harry Holden said: “Our AGM is a good opportunity for people to come and talk to us, receive a free blood pressure check, some health advice and find out a bit more about what we do. We also welcome questions from members of the public about our services and our plans for the future.”
In addition we will also be holding a Members Meeting from 2.30pm to 4pm. This will be an interactive session for those people who have signed up as members of our Trust to learn more about our services and brush up on some basic resuscitation skills. Bridgewater is aspiring to become a Foundation Trust in 2013 and is actively recruiting new members. Anyone wishing to attend the Members Meeting who is not already a member should sign up as a member at www.bridgewater.nhs.uk.
