Graffiti found on house in Golborne
Tuesday 3rd September, 2013

Police are appealing for information after graffiti was found on a house in Golborne.

Sometime between 3am and 8.30am on Monday 2 September 2013, offenders painted the windows in the front door of the home on Rivington Avenue and wrote graffiti on the living room windows using a paint brush.

Police Constable Lawrence McDonald based at Leigh Police Station said: “The victim is obviously upset to wake up and find her home has been damaged. Some of the graffiti was homophobic and we are treating this as a hate crime.

“This is not the first time the owner has been subjected to this type of crime as she was a victim in June this year. I would ask anyone who has information which can help us find who is responsible to contact police on 0161 856 7299 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
