Continued appeal to trace wanted man - Wigan
Wanted - Daniel Rigby

Police officers investigating an attack on a woman in Higher Ince have renewed their appeal to trace wanted Daniel Rigby.

Rigby is sought by detectives investigating the assault, which took place in the early hours of Saturday 13 July 2013.

The offender had an argument with the 24-year-old woman on West Street just before 3am before he punched her.

The woman ran away in fear and broke her ankle after scaling a fence.

Rigby has known links to Hindley, Platt Bridge, Ince and Wigan town centre.

Detective Constable David Bunce said: "We have launched a number of enquiries to trace Rigby and despite being one of GMP's most wanted offenders, we still have not had that vital piece of information to help find him.

"It is vital that we speak to Rigby in connection with a violent attack on a young woman."

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
