Kaitlyn Morton ready for Summer Fun!
SUMMER is here and there’s plenty going on in Wigan and Leigh to keep youngsters entertained during the school holidays!
Leisure and culture provider WLCT is offering a jam-packed programme of activities for four-17 year olds, plus the chance to win some exciting prizes.
From orienteering to junk modelling, there’s something for everyone on the Summer Fun calendar. Full details can be found at www.wlct.org/summer-fun
Those taking part are invited to pick up a Passport to Fun which will entitle them to a stamp each time they complete an activity. When they receive six stamps, they can enter a draw to win prizes including Latics tickets, bike vouchers from Halfords and free weeks at WLCT Active Camps.
Passports can be collected at leisure centres, parks and from activity leaders at events.
Chris Essex Crosby, of WLCT, said: “We’re encouraging young people to get active, get creative, get out of the house and join their friends for some fun this summer. There are so many activities and events – many of them free – going on right on the doorstep so don’t miss out!”
WLCT has also launched its latest What’s On guide, outlining the trust’s programme of events and activities for August-October. You can find copies in libraries, leisure centres, and other WLCT outposts. A copy is also available online on the news and events page at www.wlct.org
